The Boen Law Office • 40th Floor Capella Tower • 225 South 6th Street • Minneapolis, MN 55402

Dan Boen is the founding partner of The Boen Law Office. He can help you with family law, IP protection, business formation and dissolution, and contracts of all kinds. Dan enjoys working with small businesses and creative clients to bring their unique business plans to life. He’s also skilled at helping clients through difficult divorce proceedings, including child support and custody arrangements.

In addition to his legal practice, Dan moonlights as an Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Production and Recording, where he educates students about the practical applications of intellectual property law. He also serves as Secretary on the Arts, Entertainment and Sports Law Committee, Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA).

Before he went into law, Dan’s former lives include a stint as a rock star in the local band Polara; as an interactive design and development nerd at hip and trendy Minneapolis agencies; and as an English major drawn to art history and film studies at the U of M. You know, typical lawyer stuff.

Dan’s experience working with intellectual property in art, media and entertainment made him want to pursue the law full time. He graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law in 2011 and was admitted to practice in 2013. He founded The Boen Law Office in 2013.
